With launch of Mavericks OS X version 10.9for Mac, many users are updating to it. The Mac Mail includes improved features searching for attachments, facility to delete the mail from notification bar and much more.
However, if the Mac Mail is used as a client for any of the Google accounts, then definitely it may lead to some issues like duplicate mails, missing labels or messages etc. The most common problems with the users is that they receive mails after significant time period. This lag time in receiving mails could be hours or even a day.
On February 25, 2014, Apple released updated version of Mavericks that promised to have fixed the bugs causing problem in efficient configuration between Gmail and Apple Mail. For example: accuracy in the unread email account, general improvement in terms of compatibility, better Gmail labels etc. However, there are reports that users still encounter problems with it and there are performance issues.
To work around the Gmail bug, an old trick works that is applied by Mountain Lion users. Although this fix does not work with the startup release of Mavericks but it works forthe latest update of Mavericks 10.9.1. All you need to do is disable the "Show in IMAP" for "All Mail" label. This fix will work for Google IMAP accounts.
